You have forsaken your First Love!

Rev 2:1-7 (NIV)

1 "To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands: (Rev 1:20, Matt 11:10, Luke 9:51-53, Eph. 1:1-2, Acts 19:23-35 Acts 18:24-28, 1cor 15:30-32)

2 I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. (Psalms 94:7-13, Gal 1:6-9, 2 Peter 2:1-3)

3 You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. (1Tim. 6:1, 2Tim. 2:19, Acts 19:1-8, Acts 19:13-20)

4 Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. (Protos Agape,  Mark 6:21, Acts 28:7, 1Tim 1:15-16, Phil 3:13-15)

5 Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Jer. 2:2-3, Eph. 5:24-32, Heb. 6:10-11, John 13:31-35, Mat. 22:36-40, Luke 10:38-42)

6 But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. (Nico = Victory, Laity = people, Acts 6:1-6, Rev 2:14-15, Rev 2:20-21)

7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God. (Gen 2:9, Gen 3:22-24, Rev. 22:1-4)
