HISTORY Since 1990 Rev. Philip Bloomfield has pastored “Calvary Grace Church”. This Church was founded in 1984 by Rev. Ray Bloomfield as a local out reach into the community, of "Faith & Vision." Faith & Vision is a non-profit charitable society headed by Rev. Ray Bloomfield and is the parent organization to Calvary Grace. Ray Bloomfield serves as an evangelist and travels the globe preaching the Word of God. His son Philip serves as the local pastor of Calvary Grace and is backed and supported by a fine team of men and women who love the Lord and are dedicated to presenting the Gospel in a contemporary manner to our community. Calvary Grace pastors and ministers are licensed and affiliated with the “Independent Assemblies of God International Canada” and remain members in good standing. As an Independent church we receive no ongoing outside support and are completely self-sufficient.

FORMS OF MINISTRY At present Calvary Grace offers several exciting forms of ministry to its members. With two Sunday Services we minister to both in the AM and in the PM. Also offered is a mid-week bible study taught by Pastor Philip in which he gives in-depth teaching from the Word of God. Weekly home groups with various themes are also available and vary from season to season. For those gifted in music opportunities abound in both the playing and singing of our contemporary praise and worship music. We are blessed to have an outstanding choir as well as two worship teams, which remain open to those gifted as singers. We are also proud to offer a dazzling Sunday school program to those 13 and under. Your children will have fun while being taught the Word of God, at a lever designed for them. Calvary Grace church also has a very large web site, located at www.faithandvision.bc.ca, offering RealAudio™ of both the Sunday services to the public in every country of the world. Both are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This site has been extremely successful and serves as the flagship of Calvary Grace for reaching both our members in other cities and the general public. It has, from time to time, been rated by CountZ.com™ in the top 100 sites to visit on the Internet, maintaining several weeks in the number one position.

LOCATION Calvary Grace occupies the upper level of the church building facility located on the corner of 96th and 132nd street in Surrey B.C. Canada. It is our constant desire and burning goal to have a building of our own. At present our landlords the Knights of Columbus maintain and use the lower auditorium.

 

SPECIAL SPEAKERS Calvary Grace has had the pleasure of presenting some of the worlds top speakers. Men like Dr. David Hocking of the radio show “Hope for Today” have spoken for us on many occasions and continue to return based on their availability. Dr. Peter Flint, one of Canada’s leading scholars on the Dead Sea Scrolls and many other world class speakers enjoy speaking at Calvary Grace. Rev. James Weller of “Bibles for Russia,” also shares what God is doing in the Soviet block countries. These are just a few of the great men and woman whom God has bought to our platform.

SPIRITUAL GOALS Our hearts desire is to build the Word of God into our people and to equip them with every means possible to do as was stated by Paul to Timothy.

"But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry..." 2Timothy 4:5 (NIV)

We believe that God has appointed every believing man, woman, boy and girl as priests in a royal priesthood and designated them to serve Him. To this end, we feel that personal evangelism, under the unction of the Holy Spirit, is the highest form of ministry, open to all believers.

COMING SOON A fantastic youth orientated program is now being designed with plans for very cool things for the teens of Calvary Grace. Also on the horizon are plans being formed to take our ministry to radio. We feel a burden to reach the local area of Surrey and that of greater Vancouver with the ministry being offered at Calvary Grace. Look for these and many more burgeoning programs in the near future at Calvary Grace.
